About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The main objective of the SEDA Journal is to publish articles, reviews, essays, translations and reports of teaching experience in all fields of literary, linguistic and cultural studies. Contributions must be unpublished, in the languages Portuguese, English, Spanish and Libras.
The journal accepts rolling submissions of free thematic contributions, as long as such submissions are within the scope of the journal.
The journal will also continue to publish Calls for Papers with specific submission deadlines for thematic dossiers.
Peer Review Process
Contribution of reviewers, usually university professors in the area of research knowledge, from national and foreign teaching and/or research institutions. After the necessary corrections and possible suggestions, the article will be accepted for publication if it has two favorable reviews and will be rejected when two reviews are unfavorable. In the case of a favorable and unfavorable opinion, the decision on whether or not to publish the article will be made by the Editorial Board.
Periodicity
Two annual editions. In the pandemic years (2021 and 2022), only one annual number, respecting the minimum limit of 14 articles per year. Since 2023, the submission of papers is carried out in the format of dossiers with organizers or in a continuous flow, as long as the texts are in accordance with the focus and scope of the journal. This new context of scientific publication brings greater agility in the dissemination of the results of research carried out in the thematic areas of the journal, since the texts are published as soon as they are approved.
Open Access Policy
This journal offers immediate free access to its contents, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge.
