"Poetics of Melodrama in the Paulista Vanguard: Clara Crocodilo, by Arrigo Barnabé"

Abstract

This article seeks to understand how Clara Crocodilo, by Arrigo Barnabé, one of the artistic products of what became known as Vanguarda Paulista, expresses a poetics of melodrama through immersion in pop culture (comic books, cinema, radio, rock, etc.), but not only restricted to the remission of the signs of this culture, since the album's musical proposal incorporates pop creative processes in line with certain avant-garde classical music procedures.
