Construção: The country's first interpretation by a song album?

Abstract

This article recovers the production context of the album Construção, by Chico Buarque, to propose its epic orientation. It then reads the album track by track to return and qualify this same hypothesis, seeking to demonstrate that there are significant changes in relation to the composer's previous work; changes, hypothetically, caused by the radicalization of the country's social and political conditions.
