Ingedore and Marcuschi in the “textual turn” of the Portuguese language classes

In this article, we aim to highlight some conceptual contributions proposed by Ingedore Koch and Luiz Antônio Marcuschi, during their professional/academic trajectories, particularly in the process of building the theoretical framework of Textual Linguistics in Brazil, its dissemination and relationship with Portuguese language teaching. In order to deal with this task, we have outlined a "tour" through some of the works of these authors, detaching concepts directly linked to the "textual turn" that occurred in the Portuguese language classes at elementary school, in the last twenty years. The clarity of this text has singular importance as a brief tribute for the greatness of the researches, for the countless registered works as well as for our recognition to those who guide not only our researches, but also the training of our undergraduates in the studies of Languages.
